Changing action groups in flight

Yet again, I've launched something without realizing I forgot to setup its action groups. Is there a way (or a mod) that allows me to reconfigure action groups while in-flight? Only thing I could find on the subject was a mod from 2013 that allowed you to do just that, but which was on a non-functioning website.
