Structural Wing Type D missing counterpart

Since 0.25 I'm somehow deeply missing the counterpart of "Structural Wing Type D".

With counterpart I mean the particular part where the shorter edge of the triangle could be attached to a fuselage instead of the longer edge.

Almost every wing part got such a "counterpart" to attache the wing even flipped, except "Wing Type D".

Would be nice to have it someday !

Any reason you can't attach the Type D and just rotate and offset to your liking?

Because of the way it is textured. The side you attach looks diffrent and doesn't work with snap attach. the way it looks attached to other wings is all wrong.

1.0 fixed this (hooray!) You can even get a plane to fly with structural panels providing lift, if you're careful.

As for the Type D wing's counterpart, I agree that it would be nice, but I'd much rather have wing textures that were more suitable for being turned about. That way, you wouldn't need those extra wing parts for mounting wings at various angles. You could make the exact same craft with fewer parts in the game, which is a definite win-win. (It would probably break older saves though.)

UpslionAerospace is right, 1.0 changed this. The leading edge of the wing no longer matters. (I'd say orientation, but if you put AoA on it, that definitely affects things.) But wing lift isn't tied to a "forward/aft" direction anymore.

That's also an interesting thought. Though yeah, that would definitely mess up some designs.
