ModZero
Because of thinking like this the gaming industry goes down the drain pipe in terms of quality of product and delivery for the past few years.
Are you coming from a parallel universe? No it's not, and your memory is very short. And I still remember people saying that about gaming and IT in general (and, also, coincidentally, modern youth) since at least 1989. Reason why not longer: due to my age I didn't really have conversations about IT before that.
I had way too much experience with behaviour like this, which is very expensive. The game is out of BETA now, so the erratic and random rules don't apply anymore.
You have no idea what you're talking about, your IT experience is clearly very narrow, and that's fine, but don't generalise on other branches. The kind of development process you're describing is rare, specialised, and in most contexts economically suicidal.
sal_vager
Gentlemen, this thread has devolved into bickering, and the perceived state of the games industry is not a topic for KSP general discussion. Also the topic of this thread, the very title even, is pretty much a troll and you've all been taken in. KSP like any other software is subject to change over time as it is updated, and as no one here is Nostradamus the question originally posed is not answerable. Thread closed.
