Debug Menu

Recommended Posts

I think you may need to do Fn+Alt+F12 then.

Some computer manufacturers have different configurations for the f-keys.  For example, F10 can increase the volume, while FN+F10 accesses the F10 function, if that makes sense.  (This is most likely the case for yours based on your description.  I also had this setup on my HP giving the same problem accessing the debug menu.)  In other cases it is reversed where F10 gives the F10 function, while FN+F10 increases the volume.

As I said, I had a similar problem with my HP.  However, I never could get Fn+Alt+F12 to work to open the debug menu.  If that is the case, you can invert the setup from the system bios which I ultimately did.  This link gives instruction for how to do this on an HP computer, but it should be similar for most manufacturers.  Basically you want to switch the state of the "Action Keys Mode."  (So just to explain, with your example FN+F12 currently gives the aerodynamic overlay.  If you invert the action keys, you only have to do F12 to give the overlay.)
