Feature suggestion: holding SAS during EVA...

Maybe already suggested (search function in forum have actually many issues), about manned spacecraft, assuming it's possible to maintain SAS (only stability function, if available and enabled) during EVAs, of course as long as a Kerbal pilot is staying in command pod (doesn't applicable for Mk1 like pods, for example). EVAs are really a pain, especially while the ship is rotating. IRL I've never seen, in NASA documentaries, the (real) Space Shuttle to rotate during astronaut EVAs (SSO seems stable).

You can hit time warp briefly, which stops all rotation.  It's not really what you are asking for, but it's a work around.  It feels a bit cheaty though I do it lots, even though it's a stock function as a by product of the time warp/on rails system.

The answer is simple: Add a probe core. Even the simplest core can hold position.

Of course, it's a cheaty way, but it's unrealistic IMO ;-)

Yeah, it's ridiculous that the gyros somehow stop spinning instantly when you open the hatch.
