Rescue Missions Dissappeared

Used to get crew rescue missions on occasion; but not any more.  Got 10 - 12 per career, at least as far as I got into the game (I keep restarting and redoing my careers.). 

I have looked in the debug and contract configurator; but I guess I'm missing something.

I have searched and searched and found nothing.  Help please.  Thanks.

I have 7 on the go right now. They tail off a bit later in most of my careers, replaced with recover XYZ part and crew. 

So not sure why the RNG is not giving them to you.

There's a limit on maximum available and maximum available+accepted for the rescue category contracts. Probably check first if you're hitting those limits.

I have looked and can't even find the place where that limit line is.  I have searched all the tabs in the game and all the files in the folder.

My guess is that they are much rarer now that your reputation is higher.  Most rescue missions are 1-star, so are more likely to be offered at low-rep.

Look at GameData/Squad/Contracts/Contracts.cfg for the variable named AverageAvailableContracts -- boosting that number to 20/30/40/50 will increase the number of contracts available at any point in time and may give you a chance to pickup additional rescue contracts.

Saw that.  Still don't know what is going on... Oh well.

You can sell off your high reputation points in the Admin building, which will drop your reputation down (shoot for under 250 / 25% if you want more 1-star contracts).

Still fitzing with the settings.  anyone think of what mods might do this?  I have a few of the Contract Pack mods; but they show rescue missions as active.

How far along are you? I generally don't see rescues until after I enter the Mun's SOI, but that is usually pretty early in (about 5-6 flights).

Since I've noticed the problem, I have played 3 or 4 career games up to almost filling out the R&D tech tree and have been to Duna and Eve (restarted many times due to technical and boredom issues).  Haven't seen a new rescue mission in months.
