Worth going to a launch up close at the Cape?

Is it worth seeing a launch up close at Cape Canaveral?I seen a few launches in the area and liked theme.Even saw a shuttle launch night launch BTY.Now SpaceX is going to land its first core stages back at the Landing complex 1.Is it worth going to see one up close to see a rocket launch and a core stage in return to base mode landing at the pad?

Really depends on how far away you are. I was going to try to make it out there (and I could have had it happened last night) but alas I have to work tomorrow . I really just depends.

My grandpa was able to see a shuttle launch once in person.  Doesn't matter that much how close you are.  He said you can watch it in all the IMAX you want with your stereo blasting those SRBs out, but you'll never be the same when you're there to feel the ground shake and the sound of it.  If you have a chance, do it.  I live in Florida and I never even have, but if you can, you won't regret it.

It's not worth it for me since I'm in California. Maybe SpaceX will set up some landings at Vandenburg.
