can someone share with me a craft for duna (landing+return)? compatible with 1.0.5, stock.

Welcome to the Forum! I recommend you start by typing "Duna" into the search box at upper right, then click the down arrow to change from "All Content" to "This Forum". Then you should see several threads that discuss craft meant for various operations on Duna. If you don't find what you want in those threads, you'll at least know what to ask for :)

If you can't find anything (though you should be able to) I have a stock craft that is capable of getting to Duna and back, with a single stage one-man lander for visiting the surface.  It does require careful use of aerobraking at Duna and on return to Kerbin to save fuel though, so may not be suitable for a complete beginner.

Not actually what you desire but I got this ION shuttle with seats in a fairing. You can stand close to the fairing, pan the camera inside and right click the seat to enter. Just leave the seat and the Kerbal will spawn outside the vessel. Maybe a tad unrealistic but it can orbit Duna and land 4 times. Have a claw with xenon in orbit or on the ground to refuel.
You could get it to Duna from LKO and aerobrake with the small landing gear instead of the current ones and fly it back to Kerbin.

I'm currently testing a two-man lander in my career save right now. I'll get back to you when the test's over.

  • If successful, it should get to Duna's surface and back home without the need of other ships in the area.

Honestly, if you're afraid of running out of dV for the trip back, maybe you should launch a fleet. When you're done with surface ops, launch the lander up to a separate return ship and head back.

WHATEVER YOU DO, DON'T FORGET THE ENGINEER
