The Martian. Interstellar makes my brain bleed. Apart from the whole spaghettification deal, how the heck can something with as little remass as the Endurance have Saturn-transfer /\-V and knock you back into your seat? Ridiculous.
The Martian, on the other hand, has ships that behave much more realistically. Plus I read the book, so that helps enormously.

Rocket or jet engine? Consider the broader scope of things.
