How does KSP deal with leap time?

As the title says, how does KSP deal with leap time? If a Kerbin year is 426.08 days, then that extra .08 days has to be dealt with somehow. Is there a leap day every 12 years? Is it dealt with some other way?

It is not dealt with on the normal clock; the Kerbin Clock deals with it by being exactly synchronized with true time.

Im not talking about the normal clock, but if Kerbin time was exactly synchronized the days would change over time

The Kerbals aren't concerned enough about it for that to even occur to them. The planet's axis is at exactly 90 degrees to its orbit, which is, as best I can tell, perfectly circular. There are no seasons, so if a year starts a day off every dozen orbits, it has no effect.

It only matters for interplanetary affairs, and the scientists... just deal with it.
