Graphical Glitch in Tracking Station

Recommended Posts

Ther is this weird bar in the tracking station, like a glitched out screen, but only a portion of the screen is like that, but the camera moves over, like the center moved to the side.

Are you running Mac, Windows or Linux? What are your system specs? What are your latest install graphics drivers? What are the temps of your graphics cards (you can use a free program like Speccy or HWMon (Hardware Monitor) to find this)? Could you also upload a dxdiag reportand also a copy of your output_log. You can find out how to do both of these in this stickied post you were meant to read before posting.

This is a known issue that affects Windows, Linux and Mac OS X in the same way - it has nothing to do with the operating system used or the drivers installed (see this thread and the answers provided by sal_vager). The workaround solution for this is to set your KSP game to the native resolution of your display (e.g. 1920x1080).

Hello,

On Windows, this bug does not show up when in Windowed mode or in directx.

I solved this on Windows opengl by setting the game res to my desktop res and adding this to the shortcut command line : -popupwindow -force-opengl

So, the shortcut is something like this : "D:/Game/KSP/KSP.exe" -popupwindow -force-opengl

popupwindow parameter and game res to desktop one give a fullscreen like display. (Only thing, sometime the mouse appearance change back to Windows style one.)

I had an issue like this on mac. I think that this occurs when mods are installed improperly. Make sure all of your mods are coming from the correct folder, particularly if you're using Kopernicus and a planets pack. If I remember correctly I had a very similar bug to this at one point, and it was because of a planet's pack that was installed improperly.

This is actually a stock bug affecting all platforms, it occurs when your KSP resolution is lower than your desktop resolution in fullscreen mode.

Use windowed mode or match KSP's res to that of your desktop to prevent this issue.
