Inspirational reading

I ran across this interesting illustrated rendition of David Bowie\'s Space oddity. The look and story reminded me a lot of KSP:

2001 sits as my main inspiration right now, but it sits in drydock. When the gas giants are discovered and docking is implemented, I intend to build my own Discovery One and send it to the second gas giant out to find out more what the kerboliths are about. I fully expect something kerbal to happen, creating the need to build a Leonov to follow up.

One thing I did like about that movie was it being apparent the craft for intercepting the comet was assembled in space. Probably mostly because the mission was hoped to be kept clandestine. Not really too much else except the special effects.
