How to stop communotron 16 being ripped off (RO)

Hi.  I have the full Realism Overhaul suite setup.  I have a small prop driven aircraft for collecting science around the Space Centre.  However, the Communotron 16 that I mounted is always ripped off by "aerodynamic forces".  I've tried strutting it but that didn't help.  I've also tried mounting in various positions on the fuselage but nothing seems to work.  

Is there some trick to this?

delete remotetech. or use Reflectron DP-10

What about changing the drag variable in the part.cfg?

It's not meant to be used in an atmosphere. Use the DP-10.

Thanks guys.  The DP-10 does indeed solve the problem.

After you point it out, I noticed a line of text on the detailed description that says it snapped under high dynamic pressure.  Fair enough, but why would strutting it not solve the problem?

Because the antenna itself shreds. Thing about strutting a piece of paper, it'll still shred.

ah ok. I was thinking of it as snapping the antenna off rather than shredding it.
