55 Cancri e is hot and dry

According to Hubble data, a super-Earth 55 Cancri e (2 MEarth) appears to have dry atmosphere without free Oxygen or Water, but rich with Hydrogen, Carbon and Nitrogen and containing CO, CO2 and C2H2.

It's 2000 K hot and revolves around its star every 18 hours.

(For me, it looks like remains of Jupiter-like gas giant.)

2 M Earth is too small for a Gas Giant core- however, it is probably a carbon planet, formed in a O2 depleted environment.

wow we managed to image the atmosphere of an exoplanet

Haven't done any research here, but I don't think it's that difficult to see what's in an exoplanetary atmosphere. You just need to be able to get a light spectrum from it. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Good luck getting a photometric reading off the atmosphere when the only way you can even tell if the planet's there is because it transits its sun.

It's definitely not impossible, but it's nothing to sniff at, either.
