By clipping wheels inside with a flat surface below you get a kind of hovering effect! It would be perfect for this craft! The wheels still work and you will never see them, it will hover a foot or two off the ground.

Example?  Do you mean fixed landing gear?

Yeah thats it! If they dont fit try placing them at an angle. it may affect the 'hover' height but give it a go.

I've played around with this on the X34, and watched an old youtube video, but I'm not getting anywhere with it.  I'll likely need to build a new proof of concept to "get" this effect.

This is very clever.  I may have steal borrow some of these ideas for my own. :)

I'm glad you like it!

Play with the height of the panel the wheels touch. That is all there is too it.

Wow, that´s a very cool x34. I always loved that thing, since it was the first star wars toy i ever had. :)

And I had forgotten that this hoverwheel-bug existed, but it still works.

Though, here I used the Rovemax M1 wheels. I couldn´t make it work with the landing gears. Just clip the wheel below the hub, et voilà.

Thank you, it was always one my favorites too!  Nice hovercraft!  I'm still not able to make my X34 hover, I'll keep tinkering..

Can someone please explain how this rover wheel hover thing works and how you build it? I'm very intrigued.

Nice speeder too man!

If you take rover wheels, and just clip the very bottom of them through something, the collider will stick through and work like a wheel, but the model will stay popped up because of its suspension.
