Previous question:

Spoiler

I've started KSP and loaded my save, changed some scenes between Tracking Station and Vessels then returned to KSC screen and went to grab a snack.

When I was back the game already crashed, I don't understand why.

That isn't KSP's crash report, is it? I think there's a file in the KSP folder with more detail than that.

Crashes when changing scenes are often due to the memory leak in the game (the rewrite is being polished now). Not always though. Since you're using mods already, you might try adding GCMonitor to the game. If memory is the issue (the game can currently only access about 3.8GB RAM), you can try running it with -forced3d11 or -forceopengl. You'll need to to search a bit for the exact commands, those may be slightly wrong.

I'm not offering authoritative answers here, but I know not getting an answer at all can be off-putting. Others will show up....

Looks like it was some kind of system issue. I copied the entire install to my laptop and the game ran with no crashes. But I encountered another type of problem which I didn't have on my desktop PC. In the Tracking Station every vessel including Kerbin itself shifted to the side, orbit lines are on their own and vessels hang in space quite a distance from the orbit line.
