[Request] NASA's Lifting Bodies Program

DMSP

Recommended Posts

Hi all.

I've been experimenting with lifting bodies lately, but since I am a lot better at constructing rockets, have failed to make something that works successfully.

After doing some research past the widely known X-24, I thought that maybe some of you could recreate these in KSP?

Some photos as references (there are some incredibly high quality ones online, the low quality ones are the best for the forums):

Thanks a lot for looking.

If I make any progress myself, I'll post here.

Some of these builds may be featured in my Mission Report.

That's all for now, good luck building, and have fun.

I have a nice dreamchaser, but no launcher as of yet, it's on the back, back, back burner for now, if you want to build a launcher you are welcome to it.

Alright, sure!

It would be great to have something like that!

I think my KL-20 would fit right in here (and in a Mk3 Bay, too! ;)), you can grab it from my subassembly pack.. It is, after all, a loose replica inspired by this very same line of vehicles.

Rune. Plus, you know, the soviet counterpart, the MIG-105.

Sorry took a bit longer than I thought

Download Craft

Very nice! That doesn't look like a dreamchaser, though (as you said it will). It's a bit wide and flat, and the two side tanks make it look different. There is also no fin in the middle (in the real dreamchaser), and the rear is far too wide. IRL, the tilted winglets have to poke right out of the fuselage. Keep that, though, and don't change it. It certainly looks good.

I'm not sure what you are basing your review on
