SAS wont turn on

Recommended Posts

I was just switching kerbals around crafts when I noticed when I tried to turn SAS on it wouldn't turn on. I definitely had a levelled up pilot on it and a probe core with SAS capabilities but It just wouldn't turn on. I did some experiments and I found out that it has affected all crafts new and old on the save, but any other save file works fine. If anyone knows how to fix this I would really appreciate this because I really don't want to make a new save :)

So it works in one save file but not the other with identical vehicles?

That's a really odd bug. Not sure what to suggest here.

That said, can you go find your settings.cfg file in the KSP install folder, open it with a text editor (Like notepad.) and search for these two lines.

}
SAS_HOLD
{
    primary = F
    secondary = None
    group = 0
    modeMask = -1
    modeMaskSec = -1
}
SAS_TOGGLE
{
    primary = T
    secondary = None
    group = 0
    modeMask = -1
    modeMaskSec = -1
}

Make sure they match this exactly, if they don't, copy paste what it says here.

I see that you also posted this question in the forum for modded installs. Are you using Mechjeb? If you use MJs SmartASS or any other auto pilot functions it disables the regular SAS.

Sorry I accidentally posted in modded section. Iv'e got no mods.
