IRC channel no longer working?

I just got up from a nap and opened hexchat and could not connect there or on the web based kiwi irc server.  Anyone know what's going on?  Sorry if this is a duplicate thread, i did not see anything related in the search results on the topic.  One of the errors reads "you need to be identified with services".  No clue what that means.

I tried to connect using KiwiIRC and I have the same problem, it says "connecting" and shows 0 users.

Maybe related to the spammers attack from yesterday?

Everything seems to be working when I just checked. Are you still having trouble? 

Also, moved to Kerbal Network.

Seems to be working here too, though I suspect the channel is still in mode +r to combat the spammers. Recommend registering your nicks and trying again.

I removed +r from the channel at around 1100 UTC today, should be able to connect with unregistered nicks again now. Sorry for the inconvenience.
