What will life be like on colonies in the solar system.

I have been writing short stories about the fictional lives of people who live on planetary colonies and i post them on my site here: http://solarcolonies.weebly.com/

Any ideas on what to do next? And how do you thing people should live on specific worlds in the solar system, Moons are definitely included in my list as well as gas giants.

 

I would love to hear your thoughts.

As for ideas, I think you should just move throughout the star system, and eventually the stars, maybe the Moon or Mars next?

I think i'll include that in the next article  Perhaps tomorrow, Be waiting however for the jupiter and saturn systems, Your are gonna see a lot of colonies within those two systems. Some of whome in the case of saturn will be united under one government.  And if you look at the Luna article you will see a reference to saturn.

Asteroids and Ceres! Don't forget though that asteroids are literally everywhere too, from inside the orbit of Mercury to the Trojans, to way out there past Neptune.

I'll definitely do that one i think, Such places would be occupied by Religious and political minorities that set off to such remote places to have the freedom of doing stuff their way.

Im also working a a Colonial Encyclopedia that provides raw information on each colony and government.

I have a suggestion:

Mercury has definitely vast, rich deposits of heavy and precious elements. I'd imagine society there would be pretty heavily oriented towards mining/industry. Other essential goods on the other hand must be imported from other sources, making them a lot dependent on worlds where water is quite abundant.

I'd suspect Mercury would be more interested in power production. Perhaps broadcasting it?
