At last. Today I got a rocket to crash on Mun. I've had a handful that reached the Mun's SOI and flew past it, achieving some interesting flight paths due to the Oberth effect. I feel like bragging so I decided to post here. I had to make an executive decision to sacrifice 1 of my Kerbals to achieve this. Camnand Kerman bravely voluntered. His last words are now the unofficial motto for the space program.

For science. For progress. For Kerbalkind

The very first step to an interplanetary career. I remember my first Mun crashing......

I was unaware of which direction I was facing, (I was on the night side and didn't know how to use the navball ) but I was speeding up to a collision course straight into the mun. I quickly burnt all of my fuel in an attempt to slow down....

and plowed into the Mun terrain at over 1000 m/s. Those were the days...

Happy crashings!
