A Mileometer . Kilometermeter

Recommended Posts

I have rovers on several planets and at the moment my Moho rover has gone at least a quarter of the way round the planet on a single mission

So

How far have I travelled .....would love to know as it has taken nearly a week in real time

And how's about how far each ship has travelled ? ..... Time since launch *yes* ..... but distance *No*

Mileometer  . Kilometer readout like in your car please :)

Actually, this would be a neat idea for a mod.  Have a part whose right-click menu provides lots of "trip info":  distance traveled, average speed, elevation change, yadda yadda.  Reset button.

I believe the word your looking for is odometer.

Also, doesn't the F3 window have something like this?

Just looked at the F3 window ....didn't know it was there

Total ground distance *Logged* it says '0'

Total Distance travelled *Logged* it says'0'

Actually it is showing the info for the landing cradle which I use to land the rover & not the rovers info

The landing cradle is hundreds of kilometres away from here

I know it's the cradles info because it says Max G Force 0.3 G

Just checked the Cradles info and it has (it's own info)

It has been on Moho for 22 days .....22 days and I have still not reached the missions location ....nearly there though :)

Ref: F3

For some reason it has started to show some more info, but it is only showing the info (since) I looked at the landing cradle

and the info it is showing ( is only ) the info (directly since) switching back to the rover

I just selected another rover (minmus) and looked at F3

Nothing logged

Moved rover

Logging started

It seems you have to activate F3 on each vehicle to start the log
