How can I build half fairing ? (procedural fairings, rss, ro)

Hello guys,

I've built a rocket like Saturn V to go to moon.

I can achieve orbit and LTI but when I seperate the fairing that covers the LM, the fairing crashes somewhere and modules explode.

 

 

As you see in this picture I want to build a fairing like this. At first look it seems like half fairing but it is not...

 

 

After the explosion as you see in this picture it is a full fairing, the sharp side hides in fuel tank. And during the seperation it explodes.

 

 

I just want to build half fairing, its above side should be empty. How can I do that using procedural fairings. The default fairings were good at least I could build half fairings

 

 

Shortly I want to build these type of fairings with procedural fairings mod.

You want to use the "Interstage Base" under structural tab.

Yeah...IIRC, any parts/fairings will explode when they are clipped (overlapped) together... I believe it has to do with the decoupler MODULE in the .cfgs not working with parts clipping...
