KSP & Skype

Apparently KSP (Win64-bit version) does not like being put in the background behind Skype. I did so (Alt-Tab) and ended up with a crash. According to the logs, it has something to do with the "HandleD3DDeviceLost", which makes sense... my laptop has two graphics processors, an embedded Intel and a Nvidia Geforce, and yea they auto-switch. Anyone else experience this yet (be it with Skype or whatever)?

Out of curiosity have you tried changing the video settings to only use one card for everything?

Yea, I would go into the BIOS and disable the integrated graphics.

You can also just run KSP in borderless-windowed mode by adding -popupwindow to the launch options.

I have the system set so KSP uses the Nvidia card, everything else auto-switches; I'd set that card as the system-wide default, but I've got some other things which behave odd when I do.

I run KSP full screen, at 1920x1080. I very rarely Alt-Tab out... this was just of those times I did.
