The Yakovlev Yak-15 was a first-generation Soviet turbojet fighter developed by the Yakovlev design bureau (OKB) immediately after World War II. It used a reverse-engineered German Junkers Jumo 004 engine. Along with the Swedish Saab 21R, it was one of only two jets to be successfully converted from a piston-powered aircraft and enter production.[3] 280 aircraft were built in 1947. Although nominally a fighter, it was mainly used to qualify piston-engine-experienced pilots to fly jets.

Tedwin here are you getting these awesome ideas for craft?!? It's a practical craft too! The engine is safer by hiding it, and the intakes on the back both look awesome and give it lots of intake air. You are a really good craft designer! The only plane I can build can barely fly! (Ok after spending 4 hours on it it's now a hypersonic fighter, but it still turns like like a rock)

you deserve lots of rep!

Edit: dang it out of rep. REP TOMORROW!!!

How much tonns your planes?

I have the fighter which I might upload to my kerbalX account. It turns like a brick without afterburners and is extremely unstable if you turn with afterburners. I also have a plane I call "the monstrosity" It's not really a plane. It's basically taking a SpaceX barge and strapping 20 jet engines to it. I also have a few others which are basically just stock craft with boosters piled on them. Honestly, I actually have no idea. I have a much better Swordfish Mk2 spaceplane though. It flys to orbit on a rocket, does orbital operations, and deorbited with the rocket engines, then flys back on jets (I over shot by 74 kilometers on my first landing attempt).
