minimus base explodes on load

I recently came back to Kerbal after the new updates and my mods all caught up but now when i load my minimus Base it instantly goes to pieces and fly's apart. It happens the instant the kerbal Portraits load. It doesn't happen with ships currently in flight, ie.. my orbiter around Duna, totally fine. 

I've tried the debug options before loading the base and the same thing happens except rather then exploding it just fly's to pieces and bounces off of everything. 

I don't Neeed to keep my base or the science from it but i wouldn't mind getting the kerbals back home by cheat if necessary. 

 

Any ideas?

Do you have a screenshot of your minimus base? my guess would be that the landing gears are the problem.

this is from the before 1.1 went live. 

I just repawned the crew but im still curious if there is any way to save it from RUD
