What is the Antipodal Point from the KSC?

If KSC is the prime meridian, the antipodal point would be on the equator at -180 degrees. Wouldn't it?

That's obvious- I want to know WHERE. Not the general aspects, that I can guess.

I'm sure there is an easier way, but I would just HyperEdit something in geostationary orbit above KSC's coordinates, then just play with the orbital parameters until it looks like it's exactly opposite.

I don't want to guess, I've done that for a while. I want to know what is the exact opposite point.

Where the right and left edges of the map are, directly in the centre vertically. :) You can check the lat and long by hovering over. It's immediately on the big crater rim.

EDIT: nevermind, it doesn't use KSC as the PM. Boo!

According to my quick math, it's at 105 deg longitude, 0 deg lat. It's a spot on the northeast coast of a really really big continent.

On the northeast... wait, you seem to see it, can you crop a picture of it?

Kerbal Space Center is located at 0o 6' 9" S, 74o 34' 31" W.  Therefore the antipodal position is located at 0o 6' 9" N, 105o 25' 29" E (+0.1025o, +105.4247o).  You can fins that position on the following map by moving your mouse pointer over it and reading the coordinates in the bottom-left corner.

Can I have a picture of the coordinates? It's going to take me an hour to memorize 8 numbers, some of which have more than 3 digits.

It's not easier for me, dude.

Do a little work yourself.

I'm looking for a single point of a map, with no guides, no markers. It may provide coordinates, but I'm searching for 3 and I don't know where to begin.

Shocking news! A millennial doesn't know how to use a map!

Red cross marks the spot.  It's a bit zoomed-in, the area is part of the "Eastern Continent", north shore in the eastern side, or west of the big crater.

Thank you :) . Now I know when to exactly begin my retrofire burn for my shuttles so they land on the KSC.

That's not the right spot for this... if you burn from there... you will probably land on the desert... the spot is above the pyramids... unless you're using FAR... then the spot is avove the Big Crater... :P

It is for me. I'll coast through the atmosphere. 25+ missions with my Saturn Shuttle, I know how to make it work  .

Edit: Looking at it again, it's not that far from where I usually began my retrofire. It'll only prolong the heating which is what I've been needing.

ZNG, I'm thinking you want to plant a flag in that exact position so you can see it day or night, correct?

More shocking news! A baby boomer who forgot how to read a map because of that damn GPS!

I've got ambient light adjustment, now that I know it for stone fact, I can plan around it.

Ha, so my generation's technological terrors have seeped deeper into other generations!

Ah! Even more shocking news, I forgot there's a mod for everything.

Not poking fun at your generation because they have produced some wonderful new technologies but,

GPS was developed many years before you were born.

Anyways, you've given me a great idea. I currently play vanilla, so I'm gonna plant a flag there so it can be seen day or night.
