I have a problem with parachutes

I have don't modded ksp, every things are going nominal but I do a launch and then all parachutes are become useless. PLZ Help

Like I say I do a single launch and then parachutes are become useless. I don't do a thing special.

There is a video to see the bug. Also see semi-depl diams and fully-depl diams are 0. What is that?

EDIT: Please see sal_vager's post below mine and try that BEFORE you try my fix. His is most definitely more informed and very much more likely to actually work.

Looks like your parts files are corrupted somehow, or else the game is looking for the parachute diameter in the wrong place. The parachutes seem to be slowing your craft down, but not anywhere near as much as they should.

My best recommendation is to re-install KSP from scratch. I suspect this may have happened when you updated a previous installation. Keep your save files and your craft files, but get rid of everything else and put your saves and crafts into a new KSP install. That should fix the issue.

Hi, if you are using a shortcut to KSP your Physics.cfg and Partdatabase files may not be loaded, please try the KSP.exe directly.

If you unzipped KSP to Program Files it may be unable to write those files, please unzip KSP to C:\Games instead and run it from there.

If these don't work you may have a corrupt Physics.cfg or PartDatabase.cfg, deleting these will cause KSP to make new ones, this should solve your issue.

Thank you very much. The files become corrupted. I change these with original files and the problem was killed.
