Underwater stuff? Post here.

If anyone has any knowledge of cool underwater features or locations or even better, some screenshots, post them here.

I am thinking about exploring underwater as my next time killer but several forum searches for anything to actually look at/for have left me wondering if it would even be worth it.

I don,t know of anything other than the face that you can see from orbit I am developing a program for under water exploration (WET) water exploration tech. It is very difficult because water is still a bit buggy. I will keep posting when the program takes off. PS. Nuclear Sub set for north pole underway.

I mostly build warships so I can't really tell you much about the actual topography and site seeing inderwater but from what I can see it's just a great big basin. Pretty fun to blow stuff up in it. 

Warning: if you place a boat and then go to space center the next time you see it the boat will be anywhere from 1m to 50 m in the sky depending on the waterline on the hull.

I traveled quite a long way by submarine, while it can seem boring at first it is actually pretty interesting, you can find stuff like the deep sea glitch and some places where surface landscape is under water (Kerbin global heating?)

I did a bit of deep sea exploration,.

Tried to find the Smiley Face, but it's quite big and I think difficult to identify in-situ as the contours that make it could be quite subtle.  

I did plant several a mini subs and probes on the seabed in various locations, but any that are deep (1000m + seems to be the critical depth) fall 'through  the seabed on activation, so be warned.

if you have KIS I just found that an kerbal with half full inventory sink. 
This make diving much easier, just have an KIS container with parts take one and dive, dump part on bottom.

Good info so far. When I get back to my pc I am going to send some small sinkable probes to various locations. I will post some screenshots of what is visible...or not.

I will drop a couple here too but like @pandaman says that is a really large area and making anything out of it at ground level may not be worthwhile. Still gonna check though. 

At any rate, it gives me something to do.

Probe dropper. Dropped one right offshore of KSC to see if it worked, it did. But also confirmed that althoug there is stuff to look at, it is really not that interesting. At least not the places I looked. Underwater camera angle causes terrain glitches and getting good, clear views of stuff didn't produce good results. Anyway, as promised, here are the screenshots of smiley face and the one by KSC.
