The Rockomax HubMax Multi-Point Connector weighs too much at 1.5 tonnes. I can't take that thing into space!

Yes, its one part I never has used first its too heavy second it has an lack of uses. 
using four BZ-52 Radial Attachment Point on a structural fuselage weight 1/5 of it and give more freedom, replace the fuselage with any part and select the number of atatchement point you want.

Also, the Mark 1-2 is so obscenely unbalanced that there is no point in having it.

That HubMax is a bit of a dead-weight unit. A structural fuselage with 5 docking ports on it is going to weigh nowhere near 1,5 tonnes, and that's a station hub, WITH docking ports.

It's also ridiculously high up the tech tree. I mean, something that is basically 3 structural fuselages rammed into each other and welded solid should not be so difficult to construct.
