Has Dr. Who ended?

Well, I think the title asks it all... does anyone know if Dr. Who is done? 

Yes, this is my other big obsession besides KSP.  But here in the states at least, there hasn't been an episode since the 2-part: Heaven Sent/Hell Bent, which aired way back in December.  Worse yet, and this is what worries me so, is no re-runs on BBC-America in months.  NADA   It seems like BBC America is now Star Trek TNG 24/7.

I wouldn't normally post such a non-KSP subject, but this is the lounge, and I know there are a lot of Sci-fi fans here on the forum, and many members that live in the U.K.  Does anyone know what's going on?  Last I heard, they choose a new companion a few months ago, but now it seems like nothing but silence.  And I can't seem to be able to find anything recent online.

Has anyone heard anything?

Ahhh... this is what I've been wondering.  So if filming didn't start until May, then that explains a lot, and hopefully we'll be getting new shows in the fall.  Thanks!

There's gonna be the usual Christmas special, but no new series until next year.

The BBC won't end one of their most iconic and very likely highly profitable franchises for quite some time, so don't worry. The BBC already did that in the 80s, and 15 years later it came back.
