Why do I always launch at night?

It\'s not really a big issue, but I would prefer to launch at day-time. Why does it always happen at night? Is it because it reads my PC time and bases it on that, or is it something else? In any case, any way to fix it? Thanks.

In the paid version (v0.14 or later) there\'s a Universal Game Time Clock that is running whenever you\'re flying a mission, or on the Flight Tracker screen.

To launch during the daytime, all you need to do is run up time-acceleration on the pad until the sun rises again. This will happen within three game hours, as Kerbin completes a rotation in six game hours.

I love night launches myself, as it gives me that delicious Kerbin horizon that we see on the nightside all the quicker.

I am hoping the lighting gets upgraded over time where we get spotlights on the pad, as well.

However, I can perfectly understand the desire for a daytime launch now and then. Don\'t feel bad for the kerbals as you use time warp to jump to daytime. There has been plenty an astronaut who has had to sit in that cockpit for a relative length of time.
