3D print biz Shapeways hacked, home and email addresses swiped

People deserve to know: Shapeways has been hacked. Anybody that has ordered anything from them, like 3D printed Kerbals, might be compromised. Strangely enough there is nothing about it on Shapeways' frontpage.

I don't find it all that strange.  They should be contacting the affected customers, why would they advertise it on their website for people who are not affected?

Although this is not an issue for Squad itself, we would advise folks to change their account passwords when something like this happens, just to be on the safe side.

Shapeways sent out emails to those of us who were affected by the hack. So while there's nothing on the home page itself, they did at least take the first step of informing those directly affected. Myself included.

I'd wager there's a post-mortem coming once they have all the details and have patched the holes.
