A New "Challenger" Approaches!

Stranger The Steef

Recommended Posts

Hello, everyone!  My name is Stranger The Steef!  I was formerly known as BlueFalcon77 back in the early stages of KSP, since v. 0.8.  I was one of the people who had a great enthusiasm about recreating the SR-71 Blackbird, along with the XB-70 and a few others, stock.  Anyway, I cannot retrieve my account info from my former because I had terminated my Yahoo! email (it's a spam MAGNET).

But... I digress.  This topic is about me finally building my own rig.  And the quotes in the title are necessary, because that is what I had christened her name to be.  She will be my workhorse for the distant future, and will also pay respect as a monument to the brave souls lost in the 1986 disaster.

Only thing i'd change is the operating system ....

(if i had the powder for the rest of course)

Have fun :-)

Do you run the two disks as a raid 1 / mirror for performance ?

No, I do not run RAID 1 or RAID 0, sorry.  I'm just starting things off normally for now, but will probably get an external RAID array in the future.

You should DEFINITELY get a RAID array, back in February 2015 my hard drive died, I had a backup from November the previous year, but I still lost a lot of stuff.

(Also THAT'S A VERY NICE PC YOU HAVE THERE, IT WOULD BE A SHAME IF SOMETHING HAPPENED TO IT.)

I will do it when I have the best opportunity available.  I do have a 1TB backup external for the moment, but will upgrade in the near future.
