The Disoriented Challenge!

The Challenge: Build an aircraft that has the ability to fly both forwards and backwards, relative to the controlling part.

The Harder Challenge: Build an aircraft that has the ability to fly in the four cardinal directions.

Hyper Challenge: Build an aircraft that can do one of the above in the shortest turnaround time.

 

Rules!

Mods are allowed, as following:

FAR/NEAR

MechJeb

Any Gameplay/non parts mod. (Visuals, KJR, Alarm Clock, Engineer, etc)

No Cheating/ anything that will ruin the spirit of the challenge! (Alt+F12, etc.)

Have Fun!

Get Creative.

 

Categories:

Speed: Be the fastes to switch directions, whether by turning your engines around, or add another one!

Endurance: See how many cycles you can do before crashing!

Weight: How tiny can you make it before it...well, you know.

What about VTOLs?

It just so happens I've got one laying around for this one The FlipFlop has been designed to do exactly this, with all the inconvenience that goes with it. And it is a fully functional SSTO - although with barely enough space to pack a toothbrush.

No mods. If I have time I can go back and check what the "flip" time was. It should be around the 3 second mark at super-sonic speed.
