The engines as well still have nice reflections on them, merely they are reflecting a gray skybox this time. Thanks, almost assumed so. To me the rims of the tanks also look very plastic. They showed it by launching an MK1 pod a top of the big SLS booster straight up. In old KSP's, it would have 100% burned up, but now it only gets reasonably warm. That should mean that it shouldn't be as hard for jets to break the sound barrier anymore! Maximum survivable speed could be higher as well.
