KSP Cinematic: F-8 Crusader "The Last of the Gunfighters"

This is my first KSP cinematic, I still need loads of practice! (and a better editing software than Windows Movie Maker)

Oftentimes missiles in the Vietnam war would fail, making the Crusaders go to guns! The F-4 Phantom didn't have a gun and only missiles, so often times they would get stuck without missiles/functioning missiles! The Crusader shows them up by having a classic setup of 4 20mm cannons! None of these fancy 6 barrel rotary vulcans!

I wouldn't say that. I just logged in 3 minutes ago and just noticed you posted the video.

Not a bad job actually. Planes look good, the use of the camera was pretty neat on the ground shots. Music wasn't my fave, but it was appropriate for the battles.

Yeah. My first cinematic. I need a better editing software. Also couldn't find the exact sound effects I wanted, and music as well. Its a major pain in the A$$ to find decent sounding effects for jet engines and guns. So I just decided to leave the stock jet engine sound as well as the gun sounds. That's why the beginning scenes on the runway, and checking the control surfaces were oddly quiet. I just couldn't find a jet engine idle sound, or some decent radio chatter to put there.

I made the entire thing in about 2 hours, because for some reason WMM can't save Mp4 files as a WMM project for you to open back up and come back to later. It just corrupts them

Not what I was thinking, but given the average age of the forum populace I thought a alcoholic beverage wouldn't be the best thing to suggest.

....and a mod might give me another slap on the wrist, yada yada yada.....you know the drill.

Reminds me of Area 88, the main character's Vought versus a MiG-21. If this was playing in the background, it would've been a great tribute.

I'm not into that anime stuff so I wouldn't know. But this was a Crusader, he was flying a harrier.

Ah, seems like they didn't show Vought on the opening but the MC did use an F-8 until he got shot down.
