"Legal action?" Whatever could the Kerbalmaps people have done? Surely it isn't an attempt to defend SQUAD's copyrights o_O

No that makes zero sense, add that maps for games has been standard for the dawn of internet.

Wow, all this panic, haha.

Good news is this project is far from dead. The WayBackMachine will suffice just fine for the time being while I lead the charge in creating new maps and re-hosting the site at some point. Will look into picking up the domain name when it expires early next year. Anyways, updates begin here.

... The WayBackMachine ...

Good of you to point that out. Despite the fact I use the WayBack often for many things, I usually forget to suggest it.

I actually downloaded all of the image files from that website. Would anyone like me to share them? Be warned, these are very large image files.

EDIT: I would still love to have the image files so I can backup the maps and the code just in case this one also goes down.

And it feels good to have it on my own hosting machine.

so yea I'm still hoping to get updated maps online at some point with a newer version of the leaflet plugin from @IvanSanchez - as usual SoonTM is the best I can say...

SoonTM  Is the best way of giving a time for release. :) - Means you'll get there at some point, time allowing, without pressurising yourself into a time frame you may or may not be able to hit. When it is done it will be just as much a godsend as the original :)

I'm actually aiming for SoonerTM but you know how they say - under promise and over deliver. Best part is I can always over deliver because sooner is always earlier than soon!
