This is just a one-off, but I felt like this was too amazing to not share! 

In my latest Career save, I got some Science! and unlocked some fancy new DMagic science instruments. I put the instruments on my latest Minmus orbiter, Minmus 06. Sadly, it didn't have the Delta-V to get into orbit, but it did get a very close flyby of ALL the biomes. And with all 11 science instruments on board taking readings, it was AWESOME! Magnetometer Scan of Minmus' Lowlands Recieved. 150 Science Added. And so on... I got like 1000 science from that one flyby. After leaving Minmus' and Kerbin's SOI, it had enough Delta-V to get an Eve gravity assist and a Duna flyby! Which led to 3,500 more Science! It was GLORIOUS!

*goes to Minmus but doesn't have enough fuel to get to orbit*

*goes to Eve and Duna instead*

Funny, most of the time it works the opposite way for me:

*builds Duna/Eve mission*

*low on fuel so I go to Minmus instead*

 

That is certainly a LOT of science!

Well, the orbits worked out, and I did a REALLY high-energy transfer to Minmus.
