Jumping rovers :)

For my upcoming Eve mission I wanted an rover who could jump up in the air to do atmospheric science in biomes I had not flown in.
As engines who works on Eve is heavy and I would also need fuel I thought landing legs with spring strength set to max and damping to zero might push the rover up making it airborne or at least retract so fast I could get the science.
It worked weirder than expected, rover was not pushed up in the air however it started bouncing on the legs, this bounce increased, rover becames airborne, attitude is limited, on my rover design an max attitude is reached then the wheels hit the ground, on other designs then the legs suspension get compressed max so its not an kraken drive.
Still fun an just that I wanted, it works well on Eve too.

it is only natural that advanced pogostick technology would be invented by Kerbalkind sometime after the invention of rocket propulsion. :)
That's pretty cool @magnemoe, how well does it work on lower gravity bodies, ie Mun?

Have not tested yet, I think it would work the same, looks like weight don't have an huge impact on this as the weight compress the springs too.
On low gravity bodies I prefer integrating engine into the rover this let me do ballistic jumps or even refuel and take it back to orbit, this don't work well on Eve so I needed something else.
