does ksp work with linux?

I don\'t think so... Since there\'s only a Windows and Mac installation file.

I think someone else would answer this way better than me, and SQUAD would know for sure if it works on Linux.

But if it doesn\'t work, try grabbing a Virtual Computer program, and install Windows or Mac on a VPC. If of course you could be able to get your hands on a copy of Windows or Mac for the VPC, the more I think about it the more this idea looks like a waste of time now :P.

These are the recommended system specifications:

2.0Ghz Dual Core CPU

2GB RAM

512MB Video Card, Shader Model 3.0

And this is what I\'m pretty sure the Raspberrie Pi has:

700Mhz CPU

256MB RAM

Integrated Graphics

So, probably not.

OS issues aside, Rasp. Pi will never run KSP just because of the immense lack of performance.

Performance aside, the actual problem is the processor architecture. Raspberry Pi uses an ARM processor, whereas Unity/KSP/Windows/MacOS only run on x86 compatible processors. Linux itself on the other hand is at home on many different architectures, and on Linux/x86 and /x64, KSP can in fact run reasonably well.

TLDR; answering 'will XYZ run on Linux' is not as simple as in the Windows Worldtm, unless you have the source code ;)

I use Linux to run KSP, and quite well too, for a PC with a 5 year old spec (Q6600 with 6Gb and a Nvidia 8800GS). Currently using the Nvidia installed binary, but depending on distribution, other repositories work too. I ran into some issues with other drivers, which don\'t run KSP. Joysticks do NOT work.

Wine is not an option for me, I can\'t use it, never liked it. I will wait for the official linux release.

Until then, I have a very old WinXP license, which I will install in a small partition. Unfortunately, this will make me play KSP less than I want, because I work a lot with my linux setup. But again, I can wait and I hope that money support help things a bit.
