BDArmory not properly working

Recommended Posts

I just updated to BDArmory to 1.2.1, and it was not working. The tabs like Weapons were not working, when pressed does nothing. It won't detect any weapons. I tried to make a tank, but it couldn't destroy a ship, even when I used the aiming crosshair. I checked, when I wanted to reconfigure buttons, it didn't had a button to reconfigure the buttons. I didn't check Peace Mode square.I am on latest 1.2.1 KSP version. BDArmory was downloaded from Github.

First: Yes, I have a weapon manager, Second:Windows 10 Anniversary Update, 8GB RAM, AMD A10 7400p CPU, AMD R6 7400p GPU

The log:https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6KYvyYqPqr-ckY1UzByYTVVNUE/view?usp=sharing

I think that a mod is causing this.

A quick look at your log shows literally dozens of mod related issues , most seem to be caused by the simple fact that the mod is  not updated for 1.2.1 or even 1.2 ( easy to tell,  anything still looking for kspUtil hasn't been updated),  and there are mods there that aren't even needed anymore such as dds loader.  Before you can determine where the fault lies you need a stable game which is something you do not at this point have.  3 mods that can be removed right now as completely dead, are remotech, skytonemapper and dds loader, those 3 alone account for a large amount of the log spam

also, is my laptop so bad that it can't handle WindowsShine mod. I'm pretty sure that it is updated to the latest version. I'm going to update the log now, with the version which don't have these three mods

and again, why does the game tell me that there is a incompatible mod called Scale? I've tried searching it in the GameData folder, but I didn't find anything. I have an update version of TweakScale

So running visual mods on an AMD APU in a notebook is not advisable as it will tank your performance unless you reduce all your graphics settings in game down to low values since onboard graphics aren't the greatest to play games with settings above low to medium ... Also your processor has a TDP of 35 watts and the computer itself is likely throttling your processor speed due to power constraints as well as temperature

Your computer is a 'notebook' so don't expect to be playing with high graphics settings nor with visual mods installed and have good performance

Might I suggest removing all the mods other than BDAc v0.11.1.5 and see if the issue persists. If it doesn't persist, then start adding your mods back in one by one and testing with each one to find which mods is causing the conflict

I will refer you, again, to the following post where what I just said above has been clearly stated

I've got the log, but when I looked at it I found out that it still said something about DDS loader and other two mods and it seemed that the game still loaded them, even when they were in the recycle bin

Did you delete you MM config files in the Gamedata directory?

I suggest, again, to remove all mods and start with just BDAc installed. If the issue does not show itself then add each of your mods one by one to narrow down which mods are causing the conflict

no, I didn't because I was sure that if I will remove them, they will not recreate, I've actually experienced that when I was trying to install a mod.

I suggest, again, to remove all mods and start with just BDAc installed. If the issue does not show itself then add each of your mods one by one to narrow down which mods are causing the conflict ... This is clearly stated in the following thread which has been brought to your attention numerous times - Please Read ....

In addition to this, delete the MM config files so that MM doesn't try to load mods that are no longer in your Gamedata folder

I know that about the mod installing one by one, but It's fixed. I tested it out without the Toolbox mod and it started working fine, but I might just remove the MM configs, just to be safe

wait... NO! not all configs were recreated from the last deletion. It had missing ConfigCache and some other files. Why it did that?

It appears that you are new to modding KSP

I recommend reading all the OP's of each mod you are using so as to understand what it does, how it works and why outdated mods aren't working for you ... especially module manager as the answer to your question will be found within its thread
