Mechjeb toolbar not showing up

I downloaded mechjeb 2.8.5 and pasted it into my gamedata folder. I can put ar 202 part on my craft, and it consumes electrical charge, but i dont see any toolbar for mechjeb. Any suggestions?

I suspect that version is not compatible with the latest version of KSP - there has been no official release of MJ for the current KSP yet. 

Download and install the the latest dev version of MJ. It's pretty solid.

I just checked yesterday and MJ isn't updates to Version 1.2 yet.

I would love to find out where to get it.

Designing a reasonable ship without is a pain. Space navigation I can manage.
