No access to addons, Addons no more available

hello everybody,

I am new to this forums and quite new to KSP. I purchased the game and it is very fun to play.

So I wanted to test out some mods and had to notice that for some mods I am not allowed to acces respectiuve Forum pages, where they seem to be stored. That confuses me quite a lot because there is no description that says that the mod is available for specific persons only...

The other thing is that a few mods are no more available. The hostsites deleted them or they were removed again

this is all a little confusing..

This are the addons I am talking about (beginning from the buttom):

C7 Aviation Pack (three links) - File no more avaiolable (Error 404) - Dropbox

KW Challenger Pack - (Hoster: Multi load) File no more available

Project Gemini - no access to respective subforum (although I am registered and logged in)

Wacky Wood Wares - File no more avaiolable (Error 404) - Dropbox

BrickMod - (Hoster: Multi load) File no more available

Nova Punch Remix Pack - File no more available

KSP Orbit Mechanic - no access to respective subforum (although I am registered and logged in)

sorry to say this, but this is al a bit ridiculous, I´d apreciate it if the no more available mods were deleted completely and the access to the others would be granted again. If no access is bewished so please set a notification in the description.

The KW Challenger pack has been updated just today, actually. Some of the others are fairly outdated, and you can expect some old links to be deactivated as a way to save space where the files were hosted.

Can someone please take a look onto the Space shuttle? That one cant be open or extracted as I am using 7zip. It only refers to an error, so I belive that this file is corrupted. Thanks

If you would look at the last date the author has posted as well as whether or not the title of the mod has the current version, it would be obvious as to which ones are old and aren\'t likely to work. Some of those mods have even been implemented in the stock parts of the game! (C7)

We don\'t delete old threads as the author could always come back, some people are interested in reading about old threads, and we aren\'t generally concerned as those threads age and move further down the pages.

I somehow understand what you mean. It is basically not a problem, others dont have a problem with the no more existing files as well, otherwise the forum would be full of those moaning.

No, what I wanted to refere to in my last post was, that the Space Shuttle addon is available, but the file cant be extracted. I want to ask someone to test, whether the file is corrupted or whether this is an issue on my side.

It\'s Tiberion\'s old mod. It doesn\'t work with this version of KSP anyways, and it won\'t for a while until he fixes it (after he updates NP).

sorry, somethings still seems to be missunderstandable. The file is packed within a rar file. It is not possible to unzip the file. But I now know that even if I could unzip the file I couldn´t use it, due to the refered reason.

It\'s possible the person is using the demo in which case looking for older mods that support that version is a possibility.

Also, we never give new people a hard time. Being new we can excuse the occasional slip ups. It\'s the long time regulars that get hard smackdowns when they run afoul. They should know better!

The C7 pack is defunct, and several parts are now part of the main game as C7studios now works for Squad and he has no desire to maintain or support the old pack.

But, it can still be found, there is a working link to the standard pack here.
