Two exploration ship designs

I've designed 2 exploration ships. Both have similar performance: 4-6 kerbal crew, multi-year USI-LS, ~12000DV. The first is built around a Tokomak Industries inflatable the second uses Kerbal Planetary Base System parts. The first is decidedly more kerbalish, while the second looks more futuristic - that look is appealing, but it's a huge break from the rest of my craft. Just interested in any comments/feedback on the two designs.

Tokamak Industries ( @Porkjet) inflatables, Near Future command pod, USI-LS greenhouse domes and a single Atomic Age Lightbulb engine. Very little part clipping on here - only a few support struts for RCS and antenna mounts:

Second ship using KPBS parts, USI-LS observation bubbles and 4 half-sized lightbulb engines encircled by active radiators. The fuel tanks are clipped, but I was going for an overall size/volume look and the stacked Mk2 fuel fuselages looked right, but all of the angles meant the mass of tanks occupied more volume for the amount of fuel they carried (plus I like the way it looks):
