Contract Object Underground

Dear All,

I have an object I need to recover on the "surface" of Minmus. I've spent a great deal of time constructing this operation, and finally get to the object, only to find it's 350m below the surface.

How do I get it out of there? Persistent.sfs? If so, how?

Also, if this is not doable, I'd like to complete the contract, which I would love to know how to do.

Please advise!

Well, you got within 350m of it, which means you got into physics range, which means it's now a vessel you can switch to. Which means you can use Hyperedit's lander utility to "land" it at whatever its coordinates happen to be.

Should you stumble again in contracts which can't be completed, please know you can use the debug console (Mod-F12). While in career mode, under "Contracts, Active" you can make any contract "complete" with it.

Worth doing if, after having done all what's required to achieve the contract (as described in the OP), a bug is found with the contract system, so to not ruin a career game.
