2001: A Space Odyssey is considered to be one of the greatest science fiction movies of all time. Known for its practical effects which were really pushing the limits for its time (1968).

Kerbal Space Program is considered to be one of the greatest space exploration games of its decade. Known for allowing players to create custom rockets, planes and whatever else they can come up with and explore the solar system.

 

So why not combine the two?

 

I present to you 201: a Kerbal Space Program Odyssey! (at least the trailer and some screenshots)

(this just started out as me trying to parody one of the trailers, and became something slightly greater)

The sneak peak below is based on the first portion of the "space waltz" scene
