This is either:

- imbalanced craft (usually tail or landing gear). Consider using symmetry options while building

- too much part. Strut some of the parts (I did experience this problem with my SSTO, and all I did was strutting every parts on the fuselage and wings)

Hope that helps :)

Wheel issues are generally caused by improper placement, make sure they are snap aligned to absolute not local as well as properly placed around com, excess weight, get a bigger gear or increase spring strength.  Other things I've noticed include, increasing damper, this reduces side to side sway, also staying on the runway too long can cause problems, if you start to stray try pulling up.

I've never had issues with wheels on the root part our anything else that others consider bugs.  The above tweaks have worked fine for me.

You didn't specify, but I assume that this "veering to the left" problem happens during takeoff? There is a FAQ at the top of the Gameplay forum that mentions this issue, with some solutions.

But basically, veering on the ground happens for the same reason as veering in the air. There is too much drag in front of the CoM, and not enough behind the CoM -- but in this case, the drag is probably caused by the wheels and not by aerodynamic effects. One easy thing to try is: in the editor, set the "friction" for all the wheels in front of the CoM to .4 or less. This dramatically reduces the drag in front of the CoM.
