Malfunctions?

Hey, yet another question.  So, I am orbiting the moon with a satellite doing a temperature scan contract.  I have a maneuver node set to adjust the trajectory to go across the target area.  However, once I complete the maneuver I lose all ability to transition the ship, ignite engines, etc.  Also, I can not switch off the control node.  A message appears saying "control node locked unable to cancel".  Did I do something to lock the node causing the loss of control, or is this an actual, in game, ship malfunction?  Because if it is, that's a first for me.

Sounds like maybe you lost Commnet connection? Other than some sort of bug, that's all I can think of.

Your satellite is being shadowed by mun, blocking commnet signal, so you cannot control it until your satellite have a connection again with KSC
