The article doesn't say anything about any damage. It only says "incident".

Well, I obviously do not think Mike caused the incident, but there was a press conference a day before, with media being allowed into the clean room, so it is conceivable that whatever happened (the "incident") is somehow related to the increased number of individuals present.
